Banish Blue Monday with Blue Light Card feel good discounts

16 January 2023Updated:31 October 2023No Comments2 Mins Read

With grey skies, dark mornings and the holiday season firmly in the past, it is no surprise that today is known as Blue Monday, thought to be the most depressing day of the year.

Blue Light Card, the UK’s leading specialist discount service for emergency services, NHS, social care workers and armed forces, has announced its latest ‘feel good’ discounts to help beat the blues and make January a little more cheery.

Tom Dalby, CEO at Blue Light Card, explains why this Blue Monday, it pays to be positive. He said, “This year, instead of focusing on the negatives that are associated with Blue Monday, we want the day to be a positive one, and encourage our card holders to do something to spread happiness and maybe put a smile on someone else’s face too.”

To help banish the blues, Blue Light Card is offering card members a range of discounts from wellbeing and fitness, treats and gifts and healthy food. It is also encouraging members to visit its Facebook page and tell them one thing they have done to make a positive change. Winners will get cupcakes for them and their team.

About Blue Light Card

There’s a group of people who are always there for us: the Blue Light community. They work tirelessly to keep us safe, healthy and supported, often going into unknown dangers to do so. They make sacrifices every day, and we want to thank them for it.

Blue Light Card is the UK’s number one discount service for emergency services, NHS, social care workers and armed forces.

With over three million members across the country, Blue Light Card is partnered with over 17,500  retailers both national and local, providing savings, discounts and benefits that often aren’t available to the general public. These include Spotify, Toby Carvery, Hotels.com, Cineworld, Sky, EE and Halfords to name a few. In 2022, Blue Light Card saved its members over £250million in total.

Membership to Blue Light Card for access to all online deals and discounts is quick and easy by registering online at www.bluelightcard.co.uk. A card costs £4.99 and is valid for two years.
