New partnership aims to tackle emergency services’ IT challenges

17 September 2024Updated:17 September 2024No Comments2 Mins Read

A new partnership that aims to tackle emergency services’ IT challenges has been announced ahead of The Emergency Services Show in Birmingham tomorrow.

SOTI, a global leader in business mobility and device management solutions, and Crosscall, a provider of mission-critical rugged devices and accessories, to over 350,000 users in public safety, including emergency services, made the announcement yesterday.

Recent data from SOTI reveals that almost all emergency services workers in the UK experience problems with mobile devices and applications, from important location information not loading to the battery running out on a device with crucial patient health records. These challenges are having a knock-on impact on response times and care, while also leaving the sector more vulnerable to cyber threats.

The new partnership between SOTI and Crosscall will ensure frontline workers have access to robust and reliable devices that are properly managed and secured, with any issues quickly fixed or prevented from occurring entirely.

Crosscall helps emergency services organisations through its unique ecosystem of mobility accessories and propriety porting, AI-enhanced noise reduction and the ability to transform any smartphone into a computer or Push-to-Talk system. Crosscall solutions will now use SOTI MobiControl for enhanced visibility and control, SOTI XSight for diagnostic intelligence, and SOTI Snap for digitising paper-based processes.

Faki Saadi, Director of Sales, UK and Ireland, at SOTI, commented, “Keeping up with the latest technologies and digitising processes is important to get right in any sector, but with lives on the line, the emergency services industry has added pressure. By combining our expertise with Crosscall, we are committed to delivering innovative solutions that enhance response times, streamline communication and ultimately, save lives.”

Denis Thayanithy, International Chief Commercial Officer at Crosscall, said, “The signing of this partnership with SOTI represents a key moment in Crosscall’s development. We are delighted to be working with such a reputable partner with whom we share common values. We are confident that SOTI’s mobility-centric vision and the strength of its network will enable Crosscall to embark on a rapid expansion and establish a sustainable foothold in the market.”

SOTI and Crosscall will be attending The Emergency Services Show from 18-19 September 2024 at NEC, Birmingham, UK. The show is the home of technology innovation for the emergency services sector, and both Crosscall and SOTI will be sharing expertise and insights with visitors at their shared booth (Stand 4/G50).
