The National Police Chiefs’ Council (NPCC) is seeking engagement from drone suppliers to inform its strategy for police use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Posting on LinkedIn, NPCC said it has published a Prior Information Notice for the Police Use of Drones Early Market Engagement Briefing.

In addition, its strategic Drones Team lead, Superintendent Taryn Evans, will be delivering a webinar 12 December from 1pm – 2pm GMT, which interested parties are encouraged to attend.

NPCC added: ‘The NPCC Drones programme is at the forefront of innovation and efficiency, making best use of technology to boost our policing response and improve both officer and community safety.’

Parties interested in attending the NPCC webinar can register their interest by visiting this link and selecting the NPCC Police use of Drones – Early Market Engagement Briefing.
