JESIP is welcoming expressions of interest for the role of Strategic Lead, which will be a 2-year secondment and responsible for leading, co-ordinating and overseeing the management of the multi-agency transformation and delivery of key outcomes of the Central JESIP Team.

The job is available following a successful bid for funding to the Home Office to establish a sustainable, appropriately resourced central JESIP function to support multi-agency interoperability, in response to the Manchester Arena Inquiry.

This will support services in preparation, training, exercising and assurance of JESIP in pursuit of a consistent joined-up response to a broad range of multi-agency incidents, including supporting the national Prepare team to ensure JESIP is embedded in the response to high-risk multi-agency/major incidents.

The successful candidate will initially be hosted by Hertfordshire Constabulary, pending long-term sustainable hosting arrangements being successfully secured.

The Strategic Lead role is open to emergency services at the following ranks/bands:

  • Fire – Substantive Area Manager or above
  • Police – Substantive Chief Superintendent
  • Ambulance – Senior Managers with relevant experience and appropriate seniority.

Applications close on 20 June at 17:00.
