Kwik Fit has raised more than half a million pounds for Air Ambulances UK through its national charity partnership, helping to fund lifesaving missions carried out by air ambulance crews across the country.

The UK’s leading automotive servicing and repair company launched its partnership with Air Ambulances UK in October 2023. Since then, Kwik Fit staff, customers and industry partners have joined forces to support the nation’s 21 air ambulance charities through in-centre donations, online contributions and a wide range of fundraising events.

Beyond raising vital funds, the partnership has also helped boost awareness of the lifesaving work carried out by air ambulance charities. Kwik Fit has supported national campaigns such as Air Ambulance Week and used its sponsorship of the British Touring Car Championship to provide a prominent platform for the sector’s work.

Air ambulance crews undertake more than 134 lifesaving missions every day, bringing advanced medical care directly to patients who are critically ill or injured. Each mission costs an average of £4,165 and is funded almost entirely through charitable donations, making Kwik Fit’s support a significant contribution to keeping these services operational.

Air Ambulances UK Interim CEO Lindsay Boswell said the organisation was “absolutely delighted” with the achievement, describing the total as “a reflection of the enthusiasm of Kwik Fit’s staff and the generosity of its customers,” and emphasising the “huge difference” it will make to the work of air ambulance charities nationwide.

Kwik Fit Managing Director Mark Slade praised the efforts of all involved, adding that reaching the milestone “so quickly is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our colleagues, customers and partners.” He said the company was proud to play a part in supporting the lifesaving work of air ambulance teams across the UK.

Kwik Fit’s partnership with Air Ambulances UK continues the company’s strong record of charitable support. In recent years, it has raised over £1.6m for causes including Prostate Cancer UK, Children with Cancer UK and the Disaster Emergency Committee’s appeals.
