With Emergency Services Day taking place yesterday, one air ambulance team can now have a brew a day thanks to a generous donation from local business, Ahmad Tea.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) marked the day with a visit from company MD Ebraham Afshar, who said he was incredibly proud to support the air ambulance team with bespoke brew kits and a year’s supply of tea.

The Hampshire based firm has chosen HIOWAA as its official UK charity partner and made the donation as a lasting thank you to the team for the vital, lifesaving support it provides to communities across the county and the Isle of Wight.

During the visit, Ahmad Tea formally presented the donation to the Air Ambulance team at its base in Southampton.

Judith Stephens, Supporter Engagement Officer at HIOWAA, thanked the company for its donation saying it was a “lovely reflection of the partnership we’re building.”

Emergency Services Day is observed annually on the 9th of September, recognising the work of those serving across the NHS, police, fire, ambulance and other emergency services, as well as the volunteers who support them.
