Humberside Fire and Rescue Service has announced the renewal of its annual licence with EmergencyLocate, as it continues to enhance the service’s control room location finding capabilities.

The renewal means that control room staff and responders will continue to have access to advanced location technology that helps them rapidly locate and reach emergency incidents, particularly in challenging scenarios where traditional methods may fall short.

The technology, which works alongside Humberside’s existing systems and processes, provides enhanced capabilities to the control room teams including precise caller location identification and tracking, two-way text message communication with AI-powered language detection and translation and 3D satellite mapping for enhanced location intelligence and dispatch decision making.

“Our continued partnership with EmergencyLocate represents our commitment to providing the best possible emergency response to our communities. The EmergencyLocate platform perfectly meets our need to enhance our ability to locate emergency callers and allows our control staff to maximise the ability to pinpoint a caller with ease.”

Scott Spence-Hill, Humberside Fire and Rescue Service.

Over the coming months, EmergencyLocate will continue to develop its functionality and offer more in-depth communication solutions, including retrieving picture messages and the ability to instigate a two-way video call.
