Last chance to nominate: Control Room Awards still open for entries

The 2025 Control Room Awards are still open for nominations, recognising exceptional individuals and teams across the UK’s critical communications sector. Now in their eighth year, the awards celebrate outstanding achievement, bravery and commitment within the international control room community.

Organised to honour the vital work of control room professionals, the awards highlight the dedication of those serving the public during challenging times. This year’s ceremony is anticipated to be the most significant to date, shining a spotlight on unsung heroes from inspirational individuals to entire teams.

The nomination process is open until 15 May 2025, with the shortlist scheduled for announcement on 31 May. The awards evening is set to take place in July. Entry is free of charge and tickets to the event are also complimentary.

Award categories include:

  • The British APCO Control Room Innovation Award
  • Award for Services to the Public
  • Control Room Call Taker of the Year
  • Control Room Dispatcher of the Year
  • Young Achiever of the Year
  • The Lifetime Achievement Award
  • The Community Champion Award
  • Leader of the Year
  • The Team of the Year Award
  • Special Recognition for Bravery and Courage
  • Control Room Ambassador of the Year
