Leonardo has been selected by the Home Office to provide the MC_linX Dispatcher service for the Emergency Services Network (ESN).

The technology will help the Emergency Services Mobile Communications Programme (ESMCP) ensure that ESN control room interfaces meet international 3GPP mission-critical standards for public safety.

The MC_linX Dispatcher gives operators a consolidated view of ESN users, showing who has contacted them and their location on a map. It runs on a secure cloud platform, allowing access through a web browser regardless of the user’s device or location.

“After many years working with the programme, we are proud to bring our MC_linX Dispatcher into the ESN, supporting users across the UK and building on our role as a strategic security partner for the Home Office.”

Allan Leggetter, MD of Leonardo UK’s Cyber & Security Division.

The system also maintains compliance with 3GPP standards, meaning organisations without existing dispatching tools can now use the full ESN functionality.

MC_linX Dispatcher is part of Leonardo’s wider MC_linX mission-critical ecosystem, built on 50 years of experience in secure communications. It incorporates Leonardo Cyber Security capabilities, making the service ‘Secure by Design’ and cyber resilient. Leonardo is certified by the UK National Cyber Security Centre for risk assessment across both IT and operational technologies.
