‘An extraordinary showcase’, say organisers as thousands gather at The Emergency Services Show

Bringing together practitioners and suppliers, The Emergency Services Show is now in its 17th year and is expanding with the launch of The Emergency Tech Show.

The NEC in Birmingham is yet again host to the show and provides an extensive space to showcase solutions from over 500 suppliers. Visitors to the show have the opportunity to talk to suppliers about the problems they face and how product innovation helps them to keep communities safe.

This year, the show celebrates 75 years of the NHS with a special appearance by former doctor and BAFTA winning writer, Adam Kay. He joins the show on 19 September to share his insights into mental health and ways to improve learning in the NHS that are both issues at the heart of the emergency services.

The show offers a wide range of opportunities to learn, with eight theatres across two halls ranging from the Lessons Learned Leaders’ Summit to the ever popular Health and Wellbeing theatre. The College of Paramedics is providing valuable sessions for its members and visitors to the show.

Bringing a new perspective to the show, Ross Kemp joins Catherine Levin in the Policing Theatre to talk about what he’s learned about policing and law enforcement through is documentary film making and acting roles.

The Emergency Tech Show includes many well known names in the technology world with Microsoft hosting its own pavilion to show visitors how its products can provide innovative solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness. BBC news presenter, Rich Preston, hosts the Emergency Tech Keynote theatre.
