Baroness Louise Casey DBE CB has published her independent review into the standards of behaviour and internal culture of the Metropolitan Police Service. The review was commissioned in the aftermath of the abduction, rape and murder of Sarah Everard by serving Met PC Wayne Couzens in March 2021.

Thames Valley Police is looking to review the structure of local policing. The last review took place in 2010. The force says that it is now working in a more complex environment and following extensive research and analysis two proposals for how it delivers local policing are being considered.

Firefighters and control room staff across the UK have accepted a new pay deal to end their dispute over pay. 96 per cent of Fire Brigades Union members voted to accept the pay offer on an 84 per cent turnout. The pay settlement is for 7 per cent backdated to July 2022, plus an additional 5 per cent from July 2023.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland has launched a partnership with the Royal National Institute of Blind People Northern Ireland (RNIB) to increase awareness and understanding of sight loss within the police force and increase engagement with the sight loss community to deliver important public safety messaging.
