Preparing for: protests and why sharing information effectively keeps people safe

06Nov
The summer 2024 protests showed that when emergency services failed to communicate well it increased the risk of disorder. The inspectorate said that all agencies must share information effectively to that they can keep people safe. But how do they do this and what is the role of technology in sharpening the response when incidents are fast moving and on multiple fronts?

In this webinar with our partner Airbox, we look at how policing has learned from the protests last year and why the 2025 disorder has shone a spotlight again on the importance of shared situational awareness.

Speakers: Catherine Levin (chair), Steve Killick, Tactical Director, Airbox, Andy Hunt, Public Order Public Safety Subject Matter Expert – POPS Team, College of Policing, and Pat Knowles, NILO, Greater Manchester FRS
