Innovations to meet your training needs

During the last 12 months, the world has changed beyond anything we could have predicted – but for Ruth Lee Ltd, a world-leading manufacturer of rescue training manikins, the challenge of COVID has led to increased innovation and a focus on helping teams to continue training, whatever life throws at us! The company is excited to be bringing several innovative products to this year’s Emergency Services Show, which takes place from 7-8 September at the NEC, Birmingham.

The Advanced Water Rescue manikin (below) is the result of an exciting collaboration between Ruth Lee Ltd and the medical simulation experts at Lifecast Body Simulation. A world-first for drowning rescue training, this manikin lets teams go from water rescue scenarios, straight into resuscitation training with an ultra-realistic manikin with all the advanced life support features you would expect from a Lifecast manikin, which will truly test your skills.

This product needs to be seen to be believed – it lets users simulate a very realistic drowning patient, including managing pulmonary oedema – something which has never been possible before.

Thermal imaging is becoming increasingly important in search and rescue. Ruth Lee’s new thermal imaging suit and hood lets you transform your existing manikins, giving them a heat signature which can be picked up accurately on your equipment on land or in the water! It is perfect for training teams to use thermal imaging in environments you would not want to risk a colleague, such as in USAR or at sea.

For those attending The Emergency Services Show’s new Future Policing zone, you may be interested in the new PMVA Manikin. Designed specifically for one of the UK’s leading secure hospitals to allow them to continue with prevention and management of violence and aggression training in the pandemic.

In addition, if you are involved with Incident Command, Ruth Lee would be pleased to demonstrate Response Simulator by VSTEP. This full-suite virtual training platform immerses users in realistic 3D environments in which almost any scenario can be simulated. Letting you create a range of different scenarios, which can be adapted live, testing the leadership capabilities of your team.
