Welsh based startup iTrackPPE has been named as the Innovative Startup of the Year at the Wales finals of the StartUp Awards 2023.
iTrackPPE, set up by a former Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service officer, supports organisations in optimising their risk critical assets by providing real time tracking, management and modelled distribution to ensure users have the correct equipment in the right place at the right time.
Founder Steve McLinden said, “Our key focus is making firefighters and first responders safer by directly addressing the firefighting PPE contaminates issue through intelligent asset distribution. iTrackPPE is an invest to save proposition which complements existing PPE managed care provision while maximising whole life costs of each asset.”
The StartUp Awards is a collaboration between the founders of the Great British Entrepreneur Awards – an established programme nationally receiving over 5,000 applications annually – and the Wales Start-Up Awards, the only regional awards currently celebrating new businesses in the UK.
The StartUp Awards recognises the achievements of individuals who have had a great idea, spotted the opportunity and taken the risks to launch a new product or service.
