The Floodfighters – Flood SAR Lifesaving Conference takes place from 23-24 March at North Terminal in Poole, Dorset.
Supported by Surf Lifesaving GB and Professional Rescue, the key focus for the event is to share understanding, information and learning, to identify water and flood rescue best practice and strategies.
A comprehensive conference programme can be found on the event website – www.flood-fighters.com – and special discounted rates are available for fire and rescue services, police and rescue first responders, IFE Members, CSARN and FIG members; and SLS GB and ILS members.
In support of the Floodfighters conference Tactical Response and Advice Training Days will be held on 24 and 25 March, entitled ‘Principles of Water and Flood Incident management and the management of resources for incidents requiring National assets and assistance – for threat driven responses’.
The target audience for these training days is personnel who may be required to or wish to understand how to provide operational and tactical advice in relation to major or widespread flood or water rescue incidents. This event is designed to give individuals in local or national structures the necessary introductory knowledge and skills preparatory to being able to offer advice and support at that level.
