Mental health focus for first Emergency Services Show webinar

Over 1100 people registered to view an online discussion from industry experts on mental health for emergency services staff, which took place on 10 October, which was World Mental Health Day. Supported by Oscar Kilo and Mental Health First Aid England, viewers were treated to a lively and practical discussion of issues that particularly affect emergency responders.

The expert panel included: Andy Elwood, Men’s Mental Health Specialist; Dr Catherine Goodwin, Organisational Culture and Workplace Wellbeing Lead at Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust; Dr Anne Scoging, Head of Psychological Services, London Fire Brigade; and John Sutherland, Former Metropolitan Police Chief Superintendent and author of ‘Blue’, a Sunday Times bestseller.

The session was produced by The Emergency Services Show team and is available to view on-demand at www.emergencyuk.com/webinar.

Health & Wellbeing is going to be a big focus once more at The Emergency Services Show, which takes place from 27-28 April next year. We are currently working the programme for a dedicated Health & Wellbeing seminar theatre and will be announcing this later in the year.
