At an extraordinary meeting of the fire authority held at Carmarthen Headquarters on 6 May, members of the fire authority appointed current Assistant Chief Fire Officer Chris Davies to the permanent post of Chief Fire Officer. We are confident that we have the right person in post as we enter the new five year planning cycle and we look forward to working with our new Chief Fire Officer”.
CFO Davies said, “I am extremely delighted to be appointed Chief Fire Officer for Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service. I look forward to working together with staff and the authority to ensure Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service becomes a world leader in community safety and emergency response.”
