Having been deployed to respond to the Nepal earthquake in 2015, John Aitchison says it had a ‘profound effect’ on him and he’s been involved with them and Fire Aid ever since.
John Aitchison has worked for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service for 21 years but he’s also the driving force behind the creation of volunteer fire and rescue service in Nepal that serves the communities around Mount Everest.
