The Deputy Prime Minister has confirmed that minimum service level legislation that affected fire and ambulance service workers as well as other part of the public sector will be repealed as it seeks to ‘get public services back on track.’
The government has published its response to consultation about how new minimum service levels legislation will work in fire and rescue services. Basing it on appliance availability has been strongly criticised by the firefighters union, the FBU.
