Leicestershire Police warns public of scam calls spoofing the OPCC phone number after six victims lost over £30,000 in fraudsters posing as police and HMRC officials.

An undercover Met operation has led to the conviction of phone scammers who tricked pensioners into handing over their bank cards before draining their accounts.
