Spending Review

Leaders from across the emergency services sector say that the Chancellor’s spending review has not gone far enough to support them to deliver the government’s agenda and reverse years of austerity, and it is not yet clear what the ‘record cash investment’ in the NHS means for the ambulance service.

A week before the Chancellor publishes her Spending Review, where she sets out the budgets for public services over the next three years, police and fire chiefs have set out the case for deeper investment in the frontline to ensure infrastructure as well as innovation is properly funded.
