UK Resilience Academy

UK Resilience Academy (part of the Cabinet Office) has launched a national stakeholder consultation in partnership with The Workforce Development Trust on a set of proposed standards designed to strengthen strategic capability in resilience and emergency preparedness across the UK.

A new action plan from government sets out how ownership and understanding of cyber risks must improve if there is to be a step-change in the cyber security and resilience of public services.

The Government has published its National Security Strategy, stating that “without security and resilience at home, we cannot deliver economic growth or any of the other government missions to improve the lives of the British people.”

The sixth issue of the UK Resilience Academy’s Lessons Digest is now available and highlights the importance of collaboration and coordination against cyber attacks.

Resilience Minister Pat McFadden has launched the UK Resilience Academy, formerly known as the Emergency Planning College, the strategic shift needed to build societal resilience and a community of trained professionals to meet the challenges of a more unpredictable world.

Ahead of the launch of the UK Resilience Academy, the Cabinet Office has confirmed that Serco’s contract to run the Emergency Planning College has been extended to 2028 meaning it can support the transition arrangements.
