NEC Software Solutions (NECSWS) has been awarded a 7-year contract to fully manage Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue’s (LFR) Command, Control, and Integrated Communication System.

The move will give staff and call handlers the latest tools and real-time information they need to quickly dispatch fire appliances to incidents based on their proximity and capability, ensuring fast and effective responses to emergencies.

The fully integrated and cloud-based system will provide users the latest in Control Room solutions, increased user functionality and an improved user interface. The cloud-based system will also enable improved collaboration with other Fire Services who choose to adopt the same technology.

Mark Baxter, Chief Fire Officer at Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said, “This is a significant moment on the journey to implement the next generation control solution. The collaboration and hard work of everyone in our teams has helped us get to this pivotal point. We look forward to working with NEC Software Solutions UKon this important project”.

Paul Eggleton, Product and Business Development Director NECSWS said, “From the first emergency call to the management of an incident our integrated Vision and DS3000 Control Room solution will support staff to get crews and pumps on the ground. Having a fully managed and hosted service will give them access to all the information they need in one place to ensure fire appliances can be mobilised quickly to keep people safe.”

The system is due to be fully rolled out in March 2025.
