A new investigative software called Quest has been introduced in the UK to assist families in locating missing loved ones, aiming to address the issue of almost 170,000 people reported missing each year.

Developed by Altia and Locate International, Quest is an online tool that utilises Altia’s case management software, Insight. The software facilitates the collation and linking of information from family, friends, and associates of missing persons, streamlining data collection and analysis for authorities.

“The sharing of information is vital to the success of solving any missing person case, and what Quest does is provide a platform which will allow users to not only open the potential to receive a huge amount of data, but also collate it in an efficient way which may help generate new leads for cases which have otherwise gone cold.”

Rob Sinclair, CEO of Altia.

Quest aims to enhance collaboration and resource efficiency in solving missing persons cases, providing closure to families who often face uncertainty. The software was featured on Channel 5’s ‘Vanished’ and is currently being used by families, including that of Marcus Rigby, who went missing in 1995.
