The Home Office will extend its existing contract with Kahootz in support of the FireLink Programme for the emergency services.

Since 2006, Kahootz’ secure cloud-based platform has provided a vital capability joining together the Home Office and fire and rescue services, enabling real time secure communications as part of their strategic programme delivery.

The programme is part of the Government’s wider Emergency Services Network (ESN) and ensures that emergency Fire and Rescue Services have a reliable and secure digital communication platform to coordinate responses during emergencies.

Alongside the Home Office, Kahootz continues to support the delivery of critical programmes across a broad range of Government departments such as the NHS, Cabinet Office and Ministry of Defence, as well as some of the world’s largest private sector contractors, enabling vital information sharing at high security classifications.

The Kahootz extension comes after BT Group signed a new contract with the Home Office earlier this month to deliver mobile services for the government’s Emergency Services Network (ESN) over the next seven years.
