The Police Foundation and its publishers, The Stationery Office (TSO), have announced that for the first time in its 75-year history, Roadcraft is available as an app.

Developed in collaboration with the police, other emergency services, and driving instructors who specialise in advanced driver training, the Roadcraft app is an essential reference tool for emergency responders preparing for the demands of operational driving; experienced emergency services drivers and trainers as a useful reference; and anyone looking to become a better, safer driver.

The Roadcraft app features a digital version of the latest Roadcraft handbook, exclusive in-vehicle videos demonstrating key manoeuvres and principles, the complete Roadcraft quiz question bank and a useful search feature.

The app has been developed to help drivers understand the human factors that influence driving, to improve personal risk assessment and competence in handling a vehicle and apply advanced techniques such as single and multi-stage overtaking.

The Roadcraft app is now available to download from Apple and Android app stores.
