In the latest webinar from the Centre for Intelligence, Security and Resilience at Buckinghamshire New University, experts will look at incidents from the world of aviation, firefighting and flood disaster and consider organisations’ capacity to anticipate, respond to, and recover from those events while maintaining their central purpose, values and integrity.

With the recent tragic collision between an American Airlines plane and a US Army helicopter in Washington where there were no survivors, and the extensive wildfires in Los Angeles, the panel will look at the effectiveness of stakeholder communication and media management in a multi-agency (response) context.

The webinar will also consider the emergency response to recent UK flooding events and considerations in developing strategies to maintain operations during periods of disruption.

The free to access webinar on 9 April follows on from two previous webinars where the panel discussed the lessons learned from different incidents including the WW2 unexploded bomb in Plymouth, the Campanar residential apartment block fire in Valencia and the Manchester Arena bombing.

Looking at these events through the lens of stakeholder communication, preparation and the practical application of response planning provides valuable insights into how to consider actions which could be put in place today to support future response to unexpected crisis events.

Sign up for the webinar which runs from 0930 – 1115 on 9 April by visiting the registration page.
