Abdurahman Sayed is the Chief Executive Officer of Al-Manaar, the Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre (MCHC) Trust, a mosque and community hub in North Kensington, West London, serving Muslims and the wider community since 2001. Situated in the heart of a community shaped by the Grenfell Tower tragedy, Al-Manaar has long played a frontline role in local emergency response and community resilience, providing a trusted space for support, recovery, and cohesion in times of crisis.

Abdurahman chairs the Grenfell Health Recovery Network and sits on Advisory Boards for London and the London Fire Brigade, bringing community-rooted insight to national and regional resilience planning. Under his leadership, Al-Manaar continues to strengthen its role as a community anchor institution, working closely with the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, statutory partners, and grassroots organisations on community development, wellbeing, and long-term recovery.

He brings extensive experience in institutional governance, grant management, and interfaith and cross-community engagement, working to ensure that communities affected by crisis are represented, heard, and supported before, during, and after moments of emergency.

Adam Lakey is the Stakeholder and Key Account Manager for UK Power Networks’ Connections business. With over 26 years of experience in the electricity connections industry, including 13 years as a Lead Design Engineer, Adam has expertise in delivering complex connections and diversion projects. Since 2020, he has focused on stakeholder engagement, working closely with customers, industry partners, government departments and key stakeholders to understand emerging needs and develop support offerings during a period of significant change across the energy sector. His work increasingly centres on supporting organisations' decarbonisation ambitions and helping shape the future of electricity networks to meet the UK's net-zero goals.

I began my career with Northumbria Police in Force Coordination before moving into the Contingencies, Testing & Exercising Team in early 2024. My role sees me lead on the planning and delivery of testing and exercising alongside both internal and multi-agency partners, as well as write and manage emergency plans and support commanders during live incidents which fall within the Civil Contingencies framework. While the work is wide‑ranging, live exercising is the most enjoyable and rewarding aspect of my role, as there is no substitute for preparing our frontline officers & commanders to respond effectively to major / significant, multi‑agency incidents.

Alan has worked in the Safety and Health industry since the 1980s and has been Chief Executive of the British Safety Industry Federation (BSIF) since 2014. He is also Honorary President of Safety Groups UK and recently completed two terms as President of the European Safety Federation.

Under Alan’s leadership, BSIF has championed high standards across the industry, including the Registered Safety Suppliers Scheme, the Fit2Fit face-fitting qualification, and the NEBOSH-endorsed Safe Supply Qualification. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a key role in supporting UK authorities to source fit-for-purpose PPE, and he continues to guide the sector through regulatory changes such as Brexit and UKCA/UKNI marking. Alan’s early career included leadership roles at Kimberly Clark and London Rubber Company.

Alex Clark began his distinguished career in the Fire and Rescue Service at just 18 years old, dedicating 26 years to the Lothian and Borders Fire and Rescue Service, where he rose through the ranks to become Chief Fire Officer. His exceptional leadership and commitment to public safety led to his appointment as Deputy Chief Officer of the newly formed Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS), where he played a pivotal role in shaping national fire service strategy.

In recognition of his outstanding contribution and strategic leadership, Alex was awarded the prestigious Queen’s Fire Service Medal.

Following his retirement from SFRS in 2017, Alex brought his wealth of experience to Capita Fire and Rescue as Chief Fire Officer. He has been instrumental in the development and deployment of the Defence Fire and Rescue Service, and continues to provide strategic oversight and guidance to the Fire Service College, helping to shape the next generation of fire and rescue professionals.

Alison Woodyatt is a Service Manager within the Operations Directorate of the Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust (WAST) leading the EMS operational team in the Cwm Taf and Swansea Bay health board areas.

Alison returned to education as a mature student following a career of working with horses and qualified as a Paramedic at Worcester University in 2011, she then completed 9 fulfilling years of  frontline duties based in Monmouth. Alison has always had an interest in leadership and is very proud of the teams she has lead since 2020 through not only a global pandemic, but also observing colleagues adapt and evolve through significant transformation within the profession and WAST.

As a Service Manager Alison is passionate about her team's wellbeing and promoting development in an environment that is inclusive for all to explore their ambitions within a healthy workplace culture and ultimately providing excellent patient care.
