Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service has invested in the future safety of its firefighters by purchasing over 200 new Breathing Apparatus sets from a North-East based company.

Dräger has renewed its sponsorship of the National Breathing Apparatus Challenge (NBAC), as part of its commitment to supporting the firefighting community and promoting industry best practice.

Brian Hesler and Kevin Barton spoke at The Emergency Services Show about how Dräger UK is helping fire and rescue services keep firefighters safe. They talk about the innovations coming out of the learning from the Grenfell Tower fire in 2017 which include a new thermal imaging camera as well as improved location tracking for firefighters while inside buildings and contributing to ‘the healthy firefighter campaign.’
