Angela McLaren, Commissioner of the City of London Police since 2021 is set to retire later this month. The Authority Chair said that she is retiring on medical grounds, adding that she had been a ‘first class’ commissioner. And continuing this week’s volunteering theme, the Association of Ambulance Chief Executives has published the results of its first national volunteering strategy based on over 2500 responses from ambulances across the country.

Flag relay between coastal watch stations raises funds and awareness of safety at sea

The National Coastwatch Institution is flying the flag for coastal safety with the start of a 2000 mile station-to-station relay as part of the charity’s 30^th anniversary celebrations.
