EmergencyLocate's SAR Deploy
EmergencyLocate's SAR Deploy.

Geospatial technology provider EmergencyLocate picked up the Scottish Geospatial Technology Award at a recent ceremony hosted by Geovation, an Ordnance Survey initiative supporting ideas that use location data to create solutions that address global challenges.

The EmergencyLocate platform consists of innovative solutions that help rapidly and accurately identify the location of those needing help. The platform includes a two-way, fully translatable, text messenger to help overcome any possible communication barriers and uses 3D satellite mapping to enhance dispatch decision-making whilst building intelligence of the location.

The award nomination highlights EmergencyLocate’s pioneering use of geolocation and mapping data to improve emergency response times and accuracy, ultimately saving lives in critical situations.

“I am so grateful for the acknowledgement of our efforts to make a meaningful impact within the sector I’ve spent most of my working life. There are exciting things in the pipeline for EmergencyLocate too, as we look to expand our footprint and bring even more cutting-edge capabilities to the emergency, search and rescue customers that we serve.”

Nick Sutton, Founder and Director at EmergencyLocate.

The SAR Deploy tool supports responders to view and navigate to remote locations without the need to input coordinates or addresses. It is in use widely across Scottish Mountain Rescue Teams as well as integrated directly into the JESIP app.

EmergencyLocate has also been nominated for the Control Room Awards’ Innovation Award. The winners will be announced at the annual award ceremony on 18th July.
