And Yorkshire Air Ambulance has issued an urgent call for blood donors in Rotherham after a national shortage reached an ‘amber’ alert level.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance has issued an urgent call for blood donors in Rotherham after a national shortage reached an ‘amber’ alert level.

The national shortage has been exacerbated by a recent cyber-attack on a London hospital as well as unfilled appointments at donor centres, particularly affecting O type blood stocks. More via Rotherham Advertiser

Take action now over riot posts, social media firms told

The government has defended the media regulator’s response to the unrest in the UK, saying it has made clear social media companies should act over their role in the crisis.
