ParOARmedics complete 3,000 mile Atlantic row

Three paramedics from Yorkshire have completed an incredible 3,000 mile row across the Atlantic Ocean.

Known as the ParOARmedics, the trio embarked on the remarkable journey in December, attempting to raise a minimum of £30k for Macmillan Cancer Support, the Stroke Association and The Ambulance Staff Charity.

The ParOARmedics completed the amazing feat in 48 days, four hours and 17 minutes, encountering a cyclone, dolphins and ‘bonkers hallucinations’ along the way.

Posting on LinkedIn, the ParOARmedics said they have formed ‘a bond like no other between them, showing respect, the power of their comradeship, teamwork and determination.’

The ParOARmedics say they remain in good spirits, despite being very wobbly after such a long time at sea.

At the time of writing, the ParOARmedics’ JustGiving page shows that the group has raised an amazing £21,219 for their chosen charities. And just because their incredible journey has ended, it doesn’t mean you can no longer donate, so please dig deep if you’re able to.
