Frequentis has won an eight-year contract to supply the new mobilising system for North West Fire Control which serves the 5.5 million people of the area and also supports other control rooms in times of need.

The contract award of £11.7m runs to July 2033 with the option to extend for a further three years at an additional value of £3.5m. Frequentis was one of three suppliers vying for the contract and the only one to submit a final tender. The contract notice states that approximately 45% of the contractual obligations are likely to be subcontracted to third parties.

The requirement by North West Fire Control includes provision of a new Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), which works in conjunction with the Integrated Communication Control System (ICCS), and its associated services. A 24/7 maintenance and support service also forms part of the contract.

The contract award notice provides more detail and is available on BidStats.
