The Defence Simulation Education and Training event is marking its ten-year anniversary and expanding its offer to include the emergency services and focus on Critical National Infrastructure.

DSET 2025 takes place between 8 and 10 July in Bristol, bringing together over 2,000 international professionals from defence (foreign and domestic), government, academia, and industry in a hybrid event with hands on features as well as a conference programme.

The expansion of the event to include the blue lights is intended to facilitate the collaborative integration of simulation, education and training within both the defence and blue light settings and to bolster resilience in emergencies.

The organisers said that by working together, both communities will develop more effective strategies for managing crises, improving communication, and ensuring a cohesive response to incidents. “This partnership not only strengthens operational readiness but also fosters a culture of collaboration, ensuring that all responders are well-prepared for future challenges.”
