Fischer Panda UK | Power Solutions has announced a change in senior leadership, with Chris Fower appointed managing director as the business moves into its next phase of growth.

The appointment marks a handover from founder and long-serving managing director Barry Fower, who established the company in 1994 and has overseen its expansion into a specialist provider of onboard systems for the marine, defence and specialist vehicle sectors. Barry Fower will continue with the business as chief executive officer, providing strategic oversight and leading specialist and defence projects.

The company said the transition is designed to ensure continuity while strengthening its leadership structure following another year of growth.

Chris Fower joined the business in 2014 in a business development role and has held senior positions including sales and marketing director. During that time, he has led the implementation of the company’s CRM system, overseen the development of new marketing channels including a website relaunch, and helped restructure commercial and management systems to support expansion and recruitment.

Barry Fower said the move reflects a long-term succession plan for the family-run business. “As a family-run business, our focus has always been on reliability and quality. I am confident that Chris will uphold our legacy, ensuring customers continue to receive dependable onboard solutions backed by our in-house engineering expertise,” he said.

Alongside the managing director appointment, the company has confirmed further changes to its senior team. Louise Sims has been promoted to commercial director, having previously overseen internal operations and ISO 9001 compliance, while Ian Saunders has been appointed sales director following several years leading the specialist vehicle division. The promotions follow the retirement of technical sales and business development director David Payne.

Chris Fower said the strengthened leadership team will support the company’s continued growth while maintaining its engineering-led culture and customer focus. “As we evolve, it’s important we remain grounded in our engineering expertise and dedication to customer care, while embracing opportunities in emerging sub-niche markets and environmentally conscious solutions,” he said.

Fischer Panda UK said the wider operational structure remains unchanged, with the business continuing to provide onboard power, climate control and water purification systems supported by in-house engineering expertise. Further organisational updates are expected as the company progresses through 2026.
