Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has unveiled a new uniform for firefighters and uniformed support staff, introducing a refreshed look that reflects the service’s role as a modern, agile fire and rescue service.

The updated uniform forms part of wider work over the past year to strengthen Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service’s brand identity, ensuring it better represents its values, professionalism and commitment to the communities it serves. A new logo feature has also been introduced to make the service more immediately recognisable to the public.

Key changes include blue cargo trousers for operational crews and uniformed staff, navy shirts for officers replacing traditional white shirts, and the fire service logo now displayed on shirts to create a consistent and recognisable identity across the service. The uniform has been supplied by Hunter Apparel Solutions.

Following its introduction in February, the new uniform is now being rolled out across the service. Members of the public can expect to see crews and community safety teams wearing it at community events, school visits and during Home Fire Safety Visits.

“The introduction of our new uniform represents a significant step forward for our service. It has been designed to improve comfort, quality, and functionality for our staff, while reflecting the professional identity we want to present to the communities we serve.

“We have listened carefully to staff feedback throughout this process and are confident that the new uniform meets the needs of not just operational roles but, all our uniformed members of staff within the service”.

Aaron Brinklow, Group Commander, Project Lead.

Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said the uniform update is one element of its wider commitment to remaining visible, trusted and ready to respond as community needs continue to evolve.
