The Emergency Services Show and CPDme help capture learning that counts

CPD Week (2–6 March), led by the Health and Care Professions Council, is a national reminder to take professional development seriously. For us here at Emergency Services Times and at The Emergency Services Show and The Emergency Tech Show, it’s also a chance to reflect on a partnership that supports that work all year round.

CPDme has been our long-standing partner, not only at the shows, but across our wider content. Our podcasts and webinars are CPD accredited through CPDme, meaning emergency services professionals can formally log the learning they take from each episode or session. It turns what might otherwise be passive listening into structured, evidenced development.

“Our partnership with The Emergency Services Show and Emergency Services Times is something we genuinely value. Over the years, it has evolved far beyond an exhibition presence; it’s become a shared commitment to supporting frontline professionals with accessible, high-quality, CPD-accredited learning.

“The Emergency Services Show provides a unique environment where learning happens organically, through conversations, demonstrations, and shared experience. At CPDme, our focus is on ensuring that those valuable learning moments don’t get lost.”

Andrew Ormerod, founder of CPDme

At The Emergency Services Show in 2025, that same approach was visible in person. Visitors could move between tech briefings, operational case studies and practical skills sessions, learning from stage content which they could link to their CPD portfolio by simply scanning codes. Andrew contributed a popular panel on giving evidence at inquiries, and how routine logging is key to making sure people have the trail to prove their preparedness.

“As part of HCPC’s CPD Week, our top tip is simple: if you learn something, log it as soon as you can,” says Andrew.

We are busy planning the content for this year’s shows and with one of our themes for The Emergency Services Show focused on training and development, we are reinforcing our commitment to providing our visitors with tangible, actionable learning from experts who share their experience with our visitors across a broad range of topics.

CPD Week is a useful prompt for everyone to remember just how important logging their development is. Our partnership with CPDme helps make it practical, giving all our visitors, listeners and viewers a straightforward way to evidence development, whether it happens on the show floor or through a pair of headphones.
