Cleveland Fire Brigade has added a new modular foam cannon system to its fleet, designed to boost its response to large-scale industrial fires and hazardous material incidents. The system, supplied by Hawkes Fire, is built around rapid deployment and flexibility for high-risk sites.

The system features two integrated hook-lift pod units:

The primary pod contains the FireDos 15000/3‑S foam proportioner, capable of delivering up to 15,000 litres of finished foam per minute. This allows crews to apply large volumes of firefighting foam efficiently during major industrial incidents.

The secondary, detachable pod carries the FireDos M7 monitor and a 6-inch lay-flat hose, supporting water flows up to 24,000 litres per minute. The monitor can project water over 100 metres and reach heights of more than 80 metres.

It can be used alongside the foam proportioner or independently for water-only operations.

This dual-pod setup offers a flexible solution for petrochemical plants, storage depots, and other high-risk industrial sites where large-scale firefighting capability may be needed.

By investing in specialist equipment like the foam cannon system, Cleveland Fire Brigade is strengthening its ability to respond to complex, high-risk incidents – helping protect communities, critical infrastructure, and the environment.
