Routing is a critical part of emergency response, but traditional navigation systems can miss hyper-local changes such as temporary road closures or blocked access routes – delays that can directly affect response times.

Evam RouteControl addresses this gap with an AI-powered tool that gives emergency services full control over how vehicles are routed to incidents. The system can process incoming information, like emails from municipalities about road closures or restricted areas, and suggest updates to routing. Administrators can then review and approve these changes through a simple web interface, which immediately updates routes within vehicle services.

“With our AI-powered emergency vehicle routing solution, we are taking a major step toward giving first responders better conditions to arrive faster and more safely. By automating the handling of hyperlocal traffic information, for example from municipalities, we can ensure the highest possible precision in navigation to the incident scene.

“Traditional navigation systems often miss the most up-to-date and local information because it is not available in large databases. By enabling AI to interpret and translate data, such as emails about road closures, into direct routing adjustments, we provide our customers with a completely new level of control and precision in their operations.”

Alex Hedberg, CCO, Evam.

Routing with Evam RouteControl can be actively managed in real time. Services can set permanent or temporary road restrictions with defined time windows, which are automatically removed once they expire. The system minimises the need for manual coordination, ensures all units work from the same up-to-date information, and helps reduce response times by keeping routes as close to reality as possible.

Evam RouteControl demonstrates how AI can make emergency routing smarter, faster, and more reliable, helping services respond more effectively when every second counts.
