The Emergency Services Show brings together people who care deeply about improving emergency care. It is a place where clinical practice, operational learning and new ideas meet. This year, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is proud to introduce The MAAC Academy, our dedicated education and training provision. The academy brings all of our learning opportunities together under one recognised name and reflects our commitment to sharing lifesaving knowledge beyond our frontline operations.

Visitors can find us at stand L47. If you come by, we are offering 5% off all of our courses. Healthcare students can also receive 10% off Immediate Life Support (ILS) courses. It is a simple way to welcome people into the academy and encourage them to explore what we do.

The MAAC Academy has been shaped by real experience. Our clinicians deliver advanced pre‑hospital emergency care every day. They understand how decisions are made when time is short and environments are unpredictable. Learners benefit from education that is practical, relevant and grounded in the realities of emergency response and patient care. The academy offers training for everyone, from members of the public learning first aid to healthcare professionals seeking advanced clinical skills and specialist development. It is a place where knowledge is shared, challenged and applied. It encourages continuous learning and professional growth.

Our clinical training offer is extensive, and what we are showcasing at the show represents only a small part of what we provide. From trauma management and advanced life support to clinical decision making, our courses are designed and delivered by our enhanced care team to equip healthcare professionals with the skills and confidence to provide exceptional care.

Our pre‑hospital emergency medicine courses offer scenario‑based learning in advanced simulation facilities aligned with FIMC, DipIMC and advanced pathways. Our PHEM assist programmes support paramedics and students in building strong foundations in clinical skills, scene management and patient care. We also offer flexible learning for individuals and teams. For organisations seeking something unique, we design tailored training packages that include human factors development, clinical skills training, simulation‑based consolidation and clinical education support.

The MAAC Academy represents an important step forward in expanding our educational impact across the region and beyond. It also provides a valuable income stream that supports the lifesaving work of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. As the charity marks its thirty fifth year, the academy shows how we are evolving to meet the needs of the future.

We would love people to visit us at stand L47. Come and meet the clinicians who deliver this work, explore our training environments and see how real‑world experience shapes everything we do. The MAAC Academy is built for people who want learning that feels authentic, relevant and genuinely useful. We look forward to welcoming you.

Emily will be speaking twice at The Emergency Services Show. She is on the Fleet of the Future stage on 16 September and on the People and Skills stage on 17 September. Register for your free ticket here.
