Cornwall Air Ambulance’s critical care paramedics are going one step further with their training to embrace simulated learning in an exact replica of the helicopter they use. And a new app will help West Mercia Police report on child sexual exploitation.

Cornwall Air Ambulance’s critical care paramedics are going one step further with their training to embrace simulated learning in an exact replica of the helicopter they use to assist the pilot with navigation, hazard perception and identifying suitable landing sites. West Mercia PCC funds new PowerApp to help force report on child sexual exploitation

Firefighters to benefit from advanced training at new facility for challenging buildings

Work to build a real fire training facility at Ashford fire station has begun and is set to be completed in December 2025. The site, that’s been designed with sustainability at the centre, will provide Kent fire crews with an advanced and realistic high-rise environment to enhance their firefighting skills within complex buildings. Ambulance chief steps down after five years in post

North West Ambulance Service has announced that its CEO, Daren Mochrie QAM is stepping down from leading the service with interim leadership in place ahead of his formal departure from the service in November. More via Emergency Services Times

Police Digital Service taps up former biometrics commissioner as interim CEO

The Police Digital Service (PDS) has lined up an interim successor to recently departed CEO Ian Bell, who resigned as a director last month following the news that two of the company’s employees had been arrested on suspicion of bribery, fraud and misconduct in public office.
