Avon Fire & Rescue Service (AF&RS) has become the first fire and rescue service in Europe to equip its fleet with digital alerting from HAAS Alert.

With HAAS Alert’s Safety Cloud platform, AF&RS vehicles can now send out notifications to drivers through Waze and other leading navigation apps to alert them of their presence. This is an important step forward in protecting the public and reducing response time for emergency responders.

This news comes on the heels of South East Coast Ambulance Service becoming the first ambulance fleet in Europe to be equipped with digital alerting.

“We are all about leveraging the latest tools at our disposal to reduce response time

“We’re thrilled to pave the way for fire and rescue services in Europe.”

Matt Derrick, Head of Transport and Technical Services at Avon Fire & Rescue Services

The collaboration with Avon Fire & Rescue Service represents HAAS Alert’s commitment to continue to expand the Safety Cloud network in Europe. Digital alerting is more effective when more departments and agencies are equipped. HAAS Alert is excited to welcome more European emergency fleets in the immediate future.
