Surrey fire service equips its fleet with Safety Cloud Digital Alerting

3 March 2025Updated:3 March 2025No Comments2 Mins Read

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service has joined HAAS Alert’s Safety Cloud network, which enables real-time alerting between emergency vehicles and the motoring public for safer and smarter roads.

Surrey Fire and Rescue Service activated Safety Cloud through Questar UK, a predictive vehicle health company that combines cutting-edge AI technology with advanced on-vehicle system integrations, providing a holistic solution suited to specific Fire and Rescue Service needs.

“HAAS Alert and Questar UK are equally committed to transforming the automotive ecosystem,” said Ben Copitch, Business Development Director at Questar UK. “We are excited to enter this partnership together to continue to transform road safety in the U.K.”

“We’re very happy to be supported with the extra level of protection this provides for fire and rescue services on the road. The combination of Questar driver monitoring and Safety Cloud vehicle solutions, provide a comprehensive road safety tool. I hope to see more agencies and services in the UK and Europe come on board.”

Dan Quin, Chief Fire Officer for Surrey Fire and Rescue Service.

HAAS Alert expanded Safety Cloud’s coverage to Europe in November of 2023, with more agencies and services continuing to join.

“HAAS Alert are so excited to welcome Surrey Fire and Rescue Service to the Safety Cloud network, and we’re thankful our new partnership with Questar UK made this happen” added Gareth Evans, European Director of Strategy and Business Development of HAAS Alert. “We’re optimistic that the support of Dan Quin will help inspire other services, road authorities, and councils to join in these crucial road safety efforts.”

In September, South East Coast Ambulance Service became the first ambulance service in Europe to equip its fleet with Safety Cloud digital alerting.
