Rob MacDougall, Chief Fire Officer of Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, has recorded a tribute to those who tragically lost their lives following the fire at Bicester Motion on 15 May. In his message, he honours the bravery and dedication of the two firefighters and one member of the public who died, while also acknowledging the positive impact they had on the people around them.

Firefighters Jennie Logan and Martyn Sadler, both from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service, and local businessman Dave Chester sadly lost their lives in the incident.

Two other firefighters were seriously injured in the incident and remain in hospital. They are conscious and remain in a stable condition.

The incident is the subject of ongoing investigations by Thames Valley Police. Read the most recent statement here.

Further details and updates can be found via Oxfordshire County Council.

Everyone at Emergency Services Times sends their heartfelt condolences to all those affected.
